The weeks between early November and Christmas are the biggest retail stretch of the year, and the common areas of a mall set the tone for every store inside it. We build and install large-scale holiday displays for shopping centres, from a giant tree in the food court or centre court to wrapped trees at every entrance. Our crews are fully insured and WSIB-compliant, and we bring bucket trucks and aerial lifts for atriums, skylights, and rooflines that mall maintenance staff shouldn't be climbing into on their own.
Because mall displays are often the largest and most visible part of a property's holiday program, we treat each one as a multi-year investment rather than a one-season purchase. Design, delivery, installation, in-season repairs, January takedown, and off-season storage of the large pieces are all part of one program and one invoice. Booking opens in late summer, installation runs from early October through the first week of December, and every mall's plan is custom-quoted after a site visit or a review of your floor plans and photos.

Malls: questions we get asked
Will installation block common areas during shopping hours?
No. Mall installations are scheduled overnight or before opening, so common areas, entrances, and storefronts stay fully open during business hours. For a large centre-court tree or a multi-entrance program, we may need two or three overnight sessions rather than one, which we work out with your operations team in advance so nothing interferes with weekend traffic or scheduled mall events.
How do you handle fire code and clearance requirements for common-area displays?
We design every mall display around your property's fire code and exit clearance requirements from the start, keeping trees, garland, and arches clear of sprinkler heads, exit signage, and required aisle widths. We're happy to work directly with your fire safety plan or consultant during the design stage so the final display is approved before installation day, not adjusted afterward.
When do we need to book to have the mall lit before Black Friday?
Booking opens in late summer and our installation calendar fills by mid-November, so a mall aiming for a lit common area before the Black Friday weekend should confirm design and scope by September. Larger centre-court trees and multi-entrance programs take longer to source and schedule, so earlier is better if this is a new or expanded display for your property.
Do you store the large trees and displays between seasons?
Yes. Off-season storage is part of most mall programs, since a large centre-court tree or a set of wrapped entrance trees is expensive to replace every year and awkward for a property to store on-site. We inspect, repair, and re-test everything before it goes back up the following season, so your display looks the same or better each year without extra work from your team.
